Recruitment of graduate students in Master’s and Doctoral Programs
We are looking for talented, dedicated students who are passionate about machine learning, optimization, and the data science field and can contribute in various ways. We particularly wait for students with a strong mathematical theoretical approach background (*1).
(*1) The applicant will confirm his/her deep knowledge of linear algebra, calculus, probability, and statistics in the interview.
Applicants from all countries and regions and all ages are very welcome. Our laboratory is multinational, and we currently have students from Japan, the Republic of Korea (South Korea), Taiwan, China, and Oman.
The topics of interest include but are not limited to:
- generative models,
- flow-matching models, including continuous normalizing flows (CNFs),
- score-based diffusion model,
- gradient flows (GFs) on metric spaces,
- dynamic/static optimal transport (OT) and Wasserstein space,
- neural ordinary differential equations (ODEs) and stochastic differential equations (SDEs), controlled differential equations (CDEs),
- physics-inspired machine learning, including neural partial differential equations (PDEs),
- time-series data and trajectory inference,
- distribution sampling method and variational inference, and
- nonlinear operator learning.
But, we do NOT accept application-oriented topics, for example, computer vision applications or data analysis applications just USING machine learning techniques.
